Oracle Open World mobile app

With only days to go the people over at Pyxis Mobile have released a pretty cool app, available for Blackberry, iPhone, and Android. This app will be all the buzz and I am sure it will enhance your experience at Open World this year. After downloading the app from here you will only need to sign in, then everything you need for the week is at your fingertips. You can see your schedule, restaurants, exhibitor locations and info, entertainment/attractions, shopping, and tours/transportation.

I do have to say this, on originally opening the app and looking at the schedule builder it was missing some info, for instance the Keynotes, JavaOne and Oracle Develop sessions were not showing. However, I sent an email to Pyxis support and they have been great. Especially, Christopher Willis, he has been busy trying to get it all working before Open World starts. As of writing this, he has gotten very close to making it completely work. I will keep you in the loop and let you know when they have completely fixed it. I am sure it will be done soon.

In one email correspondence, I learned something really cool about the iPhone. Christopher told me how to close the app completely, which I had new was possible. If you click on the iPhone home button twice you can shutdown currently running apps.
