Venue changes for events at the 2010 Oracle Open World

This year the OTN Lounge along with other activities will be taking place at the Mason Street Tent, I am pretty excited about this. I spent a good bit of time hanging at the lounge last year and at certain times of the day it was packed tight, hopefully the new location will allow more visitors.

from the Oracle website "The Zone takes to the streets: We've closed down a block of Mason Street in San Francisco for a huge tent to better accommodate JavaOne and Oracle Develop conference attendees. Located between Ellis and O'Farrell streets, the Mason Street Tent houses a variety of attendee experiences including roundtable discussions, conference news broadcasting, and an e-mail lounge. Hang out in the Mason Street Tent to meet the Duke's Choice winners, Java User Group (JUG) leaders, and Oracle Technology Network members. The Mason Street Tent is also where attendees can build their own city with LEGO pieces, get some caffeine, or toss back a beer."

Next Venue change is the Oracle Open World Unconference. In my opinion, the unconference is one the hottest spots to be at the conference. I believe I spent more time in these small intimate sessions then in the regular sessions. It was nice to be able to ask questions and see how the topics transformed based on the attendees. This year it will take place at the Hotel Parc 55. Supposedly it will have actual rooms, which is a nice feature. Last year in some of the sessions it was quite hard to hear because of the hallway and lobby noise. I hope these rooms aren't too large and take away from the intimacy.

Here is the link for more unconference info. Some people have already started listing sessions.
